Identical Brains Studios IPO share allotment status is scheduled to be finalised on December 23, after the public offer closed with a strong demand from investors. The ₹19.95-crore NSE SME issue was open for subscription from December 18 to December 20.
The IPO was booked 544.36 times overall, led by high demand from Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs). The issue received bids for nearly 134 crore shares compared to the 24.6 lakh shares on offer.
The NIIs booked their quota 1,020.55 times, with bids for 1,020.55 crore shares against 5.28 lakh shares reserved for them. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) subscribed to their category 187.36 times, with bids for 13.19 crore shares compared to 7.04 lakh shares set aside for them. The retail quota was booked over 544 times. The retail investors applied for more than 66.83 crore shares against 12.28 lakh shares reserved for them.

Founded in 2019, Identical Brains Studios Ltd. specialises in providing computer-generated visual effects (VFX) for a wide variety of projects, which include feature films, web series, TV shows, documentaries, and commercials.
The company has contributed its VFX expertise to films that earned two nominations at the Filmfare OTT Awards and one nomination at the Filmfare Awards.
The company plans to allocate the net proceeds from the issue toward several strategic goals, including capital expenditure for renovating its existing office and studio in Andheri, Mumbai, and establishing a Colour Grading Digital Intermediate (DI) and Sound Studio. Identical Brains Studios will also use the funds to open a new branch office in Lucknow and upgrade its infrastructure by purchasing computers, storage systems and software to enhance its current facilities.
A portion of the proceeds will also be allocated to cover additional working capital needs and general corporate purposes.
Identical Brains Studios posted a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹5.34 crore for the financial year 2023-24 (FY24), showing a strong growth of 231.67% compared to ₹1.61 crore in the previous year.
Revenue from operations grew by 149.75%, reaching ₹20.08 crore in FY24, up from ₹8.04 crore in FY23.
The company's promoters are Raghvendra Rai and Sameer Rai, who hold an 86.53% stake. Since the IPO is a fresh issue, the promoters will not diluent their shareholding.
