ICICI Prudential AMC share price: Shares of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company made a robust debut on the stock exchanges on Friday, December 19.

The stock listed at ₹2,600 per unit on the National Stock Exchange, reflecting a premium of 20.09% over the IPO price of ₹2,165.

On the BSE, the stock started trading at ₹2,606.2, up 20.38% from the issue price.

A lot consisted of six shares. Investors who have secured the ICICI Prudential AMC IPO allotment made ₹15,600 per lot.

The book-build issue sought to raise ₹10,602.65 crore by an offer for sale (OFS) of 4.90 crore shares by promoter Prudential Corporation Holdings. Since there is no fresh issue component, the company will not get any proceeds from the IPO. The IPO had set a price band of ₹2,061 to ₹2,165 per share.

In its red herring prospectus (RHP), the firm said, "Our company expects that listing of the equity shares will enhance our visibility and brand image as well as provide a public market for the equity shares in India."

The public offer was booked 39.17 times, as investors applied for 1,37,14,89,456 shares compared to 3,50,15,691 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.

The quota reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 123.87 times, as they placed bids 1,15,25,59,968 shares against 93,04,869 shares on offer.

The non-institutional investors' (NIIs) portion was booked 22.04 times, with bids for 15,37,89,816 shares compared to 69,78,652 shares on offer.

The retail individual investors (RIIs) part saw 2.53 times subscription, as investors applied for 4,12,62,762 shares vs 1,62,83,521 shares reserved.

Before the IPO, the AMC attracted ₹3,021.8 crore in its anchor round from 149 marquee investors. Shares were allotted to investors such as the Government of Singapore, Norges Bank, BlackRock, Fidelity, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Capital World, JP Morgan Investment Management Inc, Wellington, Aberdeen, Aranda Investments Pte Limited, Goldman Sachs, LIC, Nippon India MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Axis MF, HDFC MF and SBI MF.
