Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality share price: Shares of healthcare company Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality made a tepid debut on the stock exchanges on Tuesday, December 30.

The stock listed at ₹120 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of 5.26% over the issue price of ₹114.

On the BSE, the scrip started trading at ₹120.75, up 5.92% from the issue price.

A lot consisted of 128 shares. Investors who received Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality IPO allotment made ₹15,360.

The ₹250.80 crore initial public offering was just a fresh issuance of 2.20 crore shares with no offer for sale (OFS) component.

The money generated will be used for the proposed acquisition of Parekhs Hospital in Gujarat's Ahmedabad and part-payment of purchase consideration for the already acquired "Ashwini Medical Centre".

Funds will also be used for establishing a new hospital in Vadodara, purchasing robotics equipment for the hospital at Vadodara, repayment of debt, funding inorganic growth via unidentified acquisitions and general corporate purposes.

The initial share sale, with a price range of ₹108 to ₹114 per equity share, was subscribed 5.21 times. It received bids for 6,89,69,088 shares as against 1,32,26,880 shares on offer, according to the consolidated data on the NSE.

The bidding was led by retail investors who subscribed their portion 19.04 times, the category for non-institutional investors (NIIs) was booked 5.73 times. The quota kept aside for qualified institutional buyers, or QIBs, was subscribed 1.06 times.

Before the IPO, the company had mobilised ₹100.01 crore from anchor investors, including Nexus Global Opportunities Fund, Sunrise Investment Opportunities Fund, Venus Investments and Khandelwal Finance Pvt Ltd. It had allocated a little over 87.73 lakh shares at an anchor price of ₹114 per share.

Gujarat Kidney and Super Speciality Ltd is a regional healthcare company based in Gujarat. It operates a chain of mid-sized multi-speciality hospitals. It runs seven multispeciality hospitals with a total capacity of 490 beds.
