Shares of Deepa Jewellers, a B2B jewellery company, made a strong debut listing at a premium over the fixed IPO issue price on the stock exchanges on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The company's stock started trading at ₹221 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of nearly 25% over the IPO issue price of ₹177 per share.
On the BSE, it is listed at ₹221.05 per unit, up 24.89% from the upper price band of the initial public offering, according to the exchange data.
After listing at nearly a 25% premium on NSE, Deepa Jewellers shares touch an intraday high of ₹222 apiece on Tuesday's market. The data further showed that the company shares witnessed selling pressure after the same, recording a pullback of around 10% during the morning market hours on September 8.
Although the company shares were still trading well above their issue price of ₹177 apiece, Deepa Jewellers shares were down 8.6% to ₹202 from the debut rate, according to the exchange data.
On BSE, Deepa Jewellers shares were trading 8.7% lower at ₹201.80 apiece on Tuesday's market, in comparison to listing price of ₹221.05 per unit, as per the data.
A lot consisted of 84 shares and cost ₹14,868. Investors who received the Deepa Jewellers IPO allotment made a total of ₹3,696 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹18,564, as per the listing price on the NSE.
The ₹459.72 crore initial share sale comprised a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹250 crore and an offer-for-sale of over 1.18 crore shares totalling ₹209.72 crore.
The net proceeds will be used for funding long-term working capital needs towards procurement, maintenance and scaling up of investment and corporate general purposes.
"We expect to achieve the benefit of listing of the equity shares on the stock exchanges, enhancement of our company’s visibility and brand name amongst our existing and potential customers and creation of a public market for the equity shares in India," the company said.
The IPO was subscribed 42.61 times, driven by strong demand across investor categories, particularly institutional buyers. It got bids for 78,91,06,332 shares versus 1,85,20,085 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.
The portion reserved for non-institutional investors (NIIs) was subscribed 105.96 times, while the quota for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) received 37 times subscription. The part for retail individual investors was subscribed 18.55 times.
Incorporated in 2016, Deepa Jewellers is an organised B2B designer, processor and supplier of hallmarked gold jewellery, primarily operating across Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The company designs, processes and sells a wide range of jewellery through an outsourced manufacturing model, supported by a network of 'karigars'.
