Atlanta Electricals share price: Shares of transformer manufacturer Atlanta Electricals made a strong debut on the stock exchanges on Monday, September 29.

The stock started trading at ₹857 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of 13.66% over the IPO issue price of ₹754 a unit.

On the BSE, it started trading at ₹858.10, up 13.81% from the issue price.

A lot consisted of 19 shares. Investors who received Atlanta Electricals IPO allotment made ₹16,283 per lot.

The Gujarat-based company's ₹687.34 crore IPO comprised a fresh issuance of equity shares aggregating to ₹400 crore and an offer for sale of ₹287.34 crore.

Under the OFS route, Atlanta UHV Transformers LLP, Nimish Harendra Shah, Hemang Harendra Shah, Gitaben Harshadbhai Mehta, Dhaval Harshadbhai Mehta and Jignesh Suryakant Patel will offload their stake.

The fresh issue proceeds will be used for debt repayment, working capital needs and corporate general purposes.

The initial public offering fetched bids for 46,17,87,742 shares, translating to 70.63 times subscription as against 65,38,439 shares on offer, according to the data available on the NSE website.

The bidding was led by qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) who subscribed their portion 194.92 times. The non-institutional investors' part was booked 54.21 times, and the category for retail investors got subscribed 10.42 times.

Before the IPO, the company had mobilised ₹205 crore from 15 anchor investors, including Kotak Mutual Fund (MF), HDFC MF, ICICI Prudential MF, Axis MF and Pinebridge Global Funds.

Atlanta Electricals is among India's leading manufacturers of auto, power and inverter duty transformers in terms of production volume as of the financial year 2024-25. It is among the few companies that make transformers up to 200 megavolt-amps with 220 kilovolts voltage.
