Zee Media Corporation (ZMCL) on Tuesday, July 29, reported a net loss of ₹8.81 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal year (Q1 FY26) against a net loss of ₹10.38 crore posted in the year-ago period.

The private media company's revenue from operations increased by 3.63% during the reporting quarter to ₹182.36 crore as compared to ₹175.96 crore in Q1 FY25.

For the June quarter, ZMCL's total expenses were at ₹194.55 crore, down from ₹199.30 crore posted in Q1 FY25.

ZMCL's total income jumped 3.24% to ₹183.11 crore during the June quarter, up from ₹177.35 crore in the same quarter last year.

Zee Media Corporation Ltd, previously known as Zee News Ltd, is one of the leading news networks in India, operating as many as 20 TV news channels.

Shares of ZMCL ended 0.22% up at ₹13.71 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday, July 29, after touching an intraday high of ₹13.81 during the session. The stock opened at ₹13.64 per share. The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹857.46 crore.
