Reliance Jio Q1 Results: EBITDA rises 24% as 5G users cross 200 million

Reliance Jio Q1 Results: Jio Platforms, the digital arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, reported a 24% rise in EBITDA for the quarter ended June 30.

Jio Platforms’ EBITDA rose to ₹18,135 crore in its fiscal first quarter, up from ₹14,638 crore a year earlier.

Its revenue increased by 18.8% Y-o-Y due to strong subscriber growth across mobility and homes, increased consumption and sustained positive momentum in digital services, the conglomerate said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

ARPU for the quarter rose nearly 15% year-on-year to ₹208.8 from ₹181.7.

Jio surpassed 200 million 5G subscribers during the quarter and added over 20 million home broadband connections.

Its Jio AirFiber service became the world’s largest fixed wireless access (FWA) provider, with a base of 7.4 million subscribers.

Its 5G subscriber base crossed 200 million, reaching 213 million as of June 2025.

Reliance said its digital services business consolidated its market leadership during the quarter with robust financial and operational performance across mobility, broadband, enterprise connectivity, cloud and smart home segments.

"I am happy to share that Jio has scaled newer heights during the quarter including crossing 200 million 5G subscribers and 20 million home connects. Jio AirFiber is now the largest FWA service provider in the world, with a base of 7.4 million subscribers," Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited, said in a statement.

"Through its differentiated offerings across mobility, broadband, enterprise connectivity, cloud and smart homes, Jio has positioned itself as the technology partner of choice for Indian consumers."

During the quarter, Jio launched new services such as JioGames Cloud, enabling console-quality gaming on any device without additional hardware, and JioPC, an AI-ready cloud computer offering affordable computing on a pay-as-you-go model.
