SUMMARY
NHPC reported an over 10% rise in its revenue to ₹2,287 crore in the third quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year. The hydropower giant also noted a 28% increase in its total expenses for the quarter under review. The company's board approved an interim dividend with a record date of February 13, 2025.

NHPC’s revenue from operations stood at ₹2,286.76 crore in Q3 FY25.
The company’s net profit stood at ₹623.28 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Its total expenses rose 27.95% YoY to ₹2,217.51 crore during the quarter, compared to ₹1,733.01 it reported in the year-ago period.
NHPC’s revenue from operations stood at ₹2,286.76 crore in Q3 FY25, jumping 10.38% YoY from ₹2,055.50 crore in Q3 FY24.
The PSU’s total income increased marginally to ₹2,616.89 crore in the quarter under review in contrast to ₹2,549.69 crore in the same period last year.
NHPC’s board also approved the payment of interim dividends at the rate of 14% or ₹1.40 per equity share on the face value of paid-up equity of ₹10 each for FY2024-25.
The board has fixed Thursday, February 13, 2025 as the record date for the purpose of ascertaining eligibility of shareholders for payment of interim dividend.
Shares of NHPC closed in the red at ₹77.47, down 0.18% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday. The PSU however, released its Q3 FY25 earnings report after market hours.
The stock gained 0.57% in the past five days but lost 1.92% over the last month. The scrip was down 21.57% in the last six months and 5.46% on a year-to-date basis.
NHPC has a total market cap of ₹6,334.49 crore as of February 8, 2025, on the NSE.
