ITC Q3 results: Net profit falls 6.1% YoY to ₹5,089 crore; interim dividend of ₹6.5 declared

Diversified conglomerate ITC Limited reported its December quarter earnings with modest growth in revenue and net profit.

The cigarettes-to-hotel giant reported a standalone net profit of ₹5088.83 crore for the quarter ended December 2025, down 6.1% year-on-year compared to ₹5421.36 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Profitability was impacted by one-time new labour code cost of ₹273.83 crore.

Meanwhile, ITC’s Q3 revenue from operations rose 5.8% YoY to ₹19,359.46 crore in Q3FY26, compared to ₹18,290.24 crore in Q3FY25.

The EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) for the period stood at ₹6,271 crore, up 7.6% from ₹5,828 crore in the same period in FY25.

Along with the quarterly results, ITC announced an interim dividend of ₹6.5 per share for its shareholders. The company has fixed 4th February, 2026, as the record date for the dividend. Meanwhile, dividends will be paid between Thursday, 26th February, 2026 and Saturday, 28th February, 2026 to eligible shareholders.

ITC reports revenue growth across segments

The company’s Cigarettes division reported a revenue of ₹8790.76 crore in Q3FY26, up 8% over ₹8136.29 crore in the year-ago quarter.

In the other FMCG products segment, the revenue increased 11.1% YoY to ₹6019.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, compared to ₹5418.18 crore in the corresponding quarter in FY25. The company said that the segment's growth was driven by broad-based growth across categories like staples, biscuits, noodles, dairy, premium personal wash, homecare and agarbattis.

The FMCG giant’s agri business segment recorded a revenue growth of 6.2% YoY at ₹3560.27 crore compared to ₹3350.81 crore in the year-ago period. Meanwhile, paperboards, paper & packaging business revenue stood at ₹2202.41 crore, up 2.7% YoY.

Ahead of the Q3 result announcement, ITC shares closed 0.7% lower at ₹318 apiece. ITC shares are trading very close to their 52-week low of ₹317.85. So far this month, ITC shares are down over 20% after the government announced new excise duty on cigarettes, which will come into effect from February 1, 2026.
