Cyient Q1 result: Net profit rises 6.9% YoY to ₹154 crore, revenue up 6.3%

Cyient’s revenue from operations stood at ₹1,781.5 crore in the quarter under review, rising 6.3% YoY from ₹1,675.7 crore in the June quarter of FY25. On a quarterly basis, the revenue declined 8.7% QoQ from ₹1,950.2 crore.

Cyient on Thursday, July 24, reported a 6.9% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹153.8 crore in the first quarter of FY26, as against ₹143.9 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

However, sequentially, the net profit fell 9.7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹1,170.4 crore in Q4FY25.

The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹1,781.5 crore in the quarter under review, rising 6.3% YoY from ₹1,675.7 crore in the June quarter of FY25. On a quarterly basis, the revenue declined 8.7% QoQ from ₹1,950.2 crore.

At an operational level, the MNC’s EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) fell 15.8% QoQ to ₹232.5 crore in the June FY26 quarter, compared to ₹276.2 crore in the previous quarter. Its EBIT margin contracted to 13% from 14.1%, sequentially.

Commenting on the results, Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Cyient, said: “We are seeing strong traction in new growth opportunities, with a clear shift in our pipeline towards more transformation-led engagements. This momentum is being driven by our Domain + AI approach, which combines next-generation digital and AI solutions with the deep industry knowledge we have built through years of collaboration.”

Shares of Cyient closed 2.98% lower at ₹ 1,242.20 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). However, the results were declared after the markets closed.
