CG Power Q4 net profit rises 16% to ₹272 crore, revenue climbs 26%

Motor and generator manufacturer CG Power and Industrial Solutions recorded a 16.42% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹271.97 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025. The company had posted a post-tax profit of ₹233.6 crore a year back.

Revenue from operations advanced 25.59% to ₹2,752.77 crore in the quarter under review, compared to ₹2,191.72 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The company's total income ascended to ₹2,824.19 crore in the January-March quarter from ₹2,239.83 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The stock declined 6.16% to settle at ₹596 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The company's order intake for Q4 FY25 was ₹3,824 crore, reflecting a growth of 22% year-on-year (YOY). The unexecuted order backlog as of March 31, 2025, was ₹10,631 crore, up 66% YoY.

EBITDA (Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) surged 22% to ₹347 crore in the latest March quarter as against ₹284 crore in Q4 FY24.

In a statement, the company said the consolidated earnings include the performance of the operating subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands (Drives and Automation Europe), CG Semi Pvt. Ltd (India), CG Adhesives Products Ltd (India), GG Tronics India Pvt Ltd, Axiro Semiconductor Private Ltd, and other non-operating subsidiaries.

For the entire FY25, the profit after tax (PAT) was at ₹974.60 crore, down from ₹1427.01 crore in FY24.

Last week, the company launched SmartSENSE, India's first cordless, float-free automatic water pump controller.
