Bajaj Finserv, a diversified non-banking finance company, reported a 12.31% increase in its consolidated profit after tax (attributable to owners of the company) to ₹3,132.35 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year.

The company had reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,789.05 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Its revenue from operations increased 19.13% to ₹42,036.90 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹35,288 crore in the corresponding period of FY26.

The net interest income (NII) advanced 20% to ₹14,528 crore in the reporting quarter as against ₹12,083 crore a year back.

The board of directors of Bajaj Finserv also approved pursuing the reinsurance business.

"Subject to the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other authorities, the Board has granted its approval for pursuing re-insurance business through a subsidiary of the Company to be incorporated," it said in an exchange filing.

Bajaj Finserv Q1 FY27: Business highlights

  • The company said that its subsidiary, Bajaj Finance Ltd, recorded an increase in the customer franchise of 5.10 million and a number of new loans booked of 16.13 million in the reporting quarter.
  • Bajaj General Insurance (a subsidiary of Bajaj Finserv) posted a growth of 11% in gross written premium (GWP) to ₹5,789 crore.
  • Bajaj Life, also a unit of the company, reported an 87% growth in the value of new business (VNB).
  • Bajaj Asset Management (subsidary) recorded quarterly average assets under management (AUM) of ₹33,027 crore and closing AUM of ₹31,444 crore as of June 30, 2026.
  • Bajaj Finserv said that it continues to focus on growing its emerging businesses, including Bajaj Finserv Direct, Bajaj Finserv Health, Bajaj Asset Management and Bajaj Alternate Investment Management. The company recorded losses at ₹130 crore.

Bajaj Finserv stock performance

Shares of Bajaj Finserv were trading 5.22% higher at ₹2,009.10 apiece on the NSE ay 12:40 pm.

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹2,195 per share on October 23, 2025, while its year's low of ₹1,597 apiece was recorded on April 2, 2026.

The scrip has gained 6.69% in the past week and 12.48% in a month. Year-to-date, it slipped 1.70%.
