Ather Energy shares slip after hitting 52-week high this week; check key details

Ather Energy shares slipped into the negative territory on Thursday, falling by over 2% to an intraday low of ₹407.70 apiece on the NSE. At 3:03 pm, the stock was trading 0.7% down at ₹413.75 per share on the NSE.

However, the stock ended flat at ₹416.70 apiece, up 0.01% from the previous close of ₹416.65 on Wednesday.

During the session on Thursday, the stock touched an intraday high of ₹424.70 per share on the bourse, rising by almost 2%. The market capitalisation of Ather Energy stands at ₹15,520.39 crore.

Ola Electric shares also tumbled on Thursday, falling by 7% to an intraday low of ₹49.50 apiece amid profit booking.

As per reports, if the GST cut on Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) is implemented, it can have a significant impact on EV adoption.

As per VAHAN registration data as of August 20, Ola Electric recorded 9,522 registrations as against 10,248 for Ather Energy. At this rate, Ola Electric's market share could drop below that of Ather Energy if this trend continues.

Ather Energy Q1 results and share price movement

For the first quarter of the current fiscal year (Q1 FY26), Ather Energy reported a net loss of ₹178.2 crore against a net loss of ₹183 crore posted in the year-ago period.

The company's revenue climbed 79% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹644.6 crore during the June quarter from ₹360.5 crore in Q1 FY25. Further, its total income increased to ₹672.9 crore during the reporting quarter, up 82.6% from ₹368.4 crore in the same quarter last year.

Ather Energy's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) loss was at ₹134.4 crore in Q1 FY26, up from ₹128.4 crore posted in Q1 FY25.

In the last five days, shares of Ather Energy have slipped 1.81%. However, the stock has gained as much as 22.63% in the past month. Over the last six months, Ather Energy shares have soared 36.67%.

The stock hit its 52-week high of ₹450 recently on August 19, while it was at its yearly low of ₹288.15 on May 7, 2025.
