Adani Energy Q4 earnings: Net profit rises 8% to ₹772 crore on strong year-on-year core revenue growth

NSE filings data showed that Adani Energy’s consolidated net profit after tax rose by 8.2% to ₹772 crore in the fourth quarter of FY2025-26, compared to ₹713 crore in the same period a year ago.

The consolidated financial statements also highlighted that Adani Energy recorded a 16.7% rise in its revenue from core operations to ₹7,443.27 crore in the January to March quarter, compared to ₹6,374.58 crore in the same period a year ago.

On the earnings per share (EPS) front, Adani Energy’s EPS for the fourth quarter improved by ₹0.19 paise to ₹5.69 apiece, compared to ₹6.50 apiece in the same period a year ago.

Segmental revenue snapshot

Adani Energy’s Q4 results showed that the company’s power transmission business recorded a 26% rise in revenues to ₹2,837 crore, compared year-on-year with ₹2,247 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year, according to the consolidated statements.

However, the company’s distribution business took a 1.32% hit with revenues sliding down to ₹2,868 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to ₹2,907 crore in the same period a year ago, as per the filings.

Other business segments, such as Smart Meter with fivefold growth to ₹299 crore, a 12% growth in Trading revenues, and other revenues rising eightfold to ₹335 crore, overall supported the increase in revenues on a year-on-year basis in the March quarter.

On the EBITDA front, Adani Energy’s profitability rose 12.7% YoY to a record level of ₹8,726 crore, backed by the company’s strong growth in the transmission and smart metering segments and steady performance in the distribution business, according to the exchange filing.

With an under-construction order pipeline of ₹71,779 crore, the company expects its smart meter order book to remain at 2.46 crore meters with a revenue potential of Rs 29,519 crore.

“The near-term tendering pipeline in the transmission sector remains robust at ₹1.5 lakh crore. Whereas the nationwide market opportunity for smart metering continues at 103 million meters,” said Adani Energy.

Adani Energy shares will be in focus of the stock market investors on Friday, April 24, as the company announced its Q4 results after the market operating hours on Thursday. Shares of Adani Energy closed 0.50% lower at ₹1,361.25, compared to ₹1,368.10 at the previous stock market close.

Adani Energy shares have delivered more than 28% returns on their investment in five years, and over 37% gains in the last three-year period. NSE data also showed that the company’s stock has risen 45% in the past one year period.

On a year-to-date basis, the company shares have gained 30% in 2026, and have risen 44% in the past one month. Adani Energy shares were trading 11% higher over the last five days as of Thursday’s closing price.
