Gold, silver price today on October 17 in Mumbai, Delhi; check the latest prices in your city

Gold rebounded by ₹510 to breach the ₹78,000 per 10-gram level in major Indian cities in early trade on Thursday, snapping its three-day losing streak. Strong global trends supported the precious metal in the local markets.

In global markets, gold prices advanced to trade near record high levels as US bond yields softened on growing rate cut hopes. Gold was trading 0.32% higher at $2,682 an ounce in early Asian trade on Thursday. The precious metal hit a high of $2,683 an ounce in overnight trade.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices rebounded by ₹510 to a record high of ₹78,050 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹470 to ₹71,560 per 10 grams. Some festive demand ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali festivals also supported the precious metal.

Silver prices advanced in major Indian cities in early trade on Tuesday following overnight gains in the white metal in global markets. Silver prices rose by ₹300 per kg in Delhi markets to ₹97,100 per Kg. In Mumbai and Kolkata the price increased by ₹100 per kg. Demand from coin makers and industrial units boosted the white metal.

Spot Silver traded marginally down at $31.67 an ounce in global markets. In overnight trade, it hit a high of $31.92 an ounce.
