Gold and Silver Price Today (October 3): Gold jumps by ₹230 to all-time high on deepening geopolitical concerns
Gold prices rebounded by ₹230 in major cities in India on Thursday, October 3, as escalation in conflict in West Asia following missile attacks by Iran on Israel fuelled the precious metal in global markets.
Beginning of the festive season, with Navratras on Thursday, which are considered auspicious by Hindus to buy valuable items like jewellery, also supported the metal prices.
Gold prices soared to $2,671 an ounce in overnight trade in global markets on Wednesday, October 2, after Iran got involved in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon by firing missiles on Tel Aviv. Gold markets were closed in major cities in India on Wednesday due to a public holiday.
Experts also projected gold prices to hit $3,200 an ounce-level in coming months on expected rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve and deepening geopolitical concerns amid West Asia conflict.
