Gold prices advanced in early trade on Thursday, March 13, following firm global trends. A weak US dollar and cooler-than-expected US inflation data reignited buying in the metal in global markets, taking it near the all-time high levels in overnight trade. Trade-related uncertainty and slowdown fears also boosted demand for the safe-haven asset.
The 24K gold gained ₹10 to ₹87,990 per 10 grams and the 22K gold to ₹80,660 per 10 grams in major Indian cities. Gold prices rebounded by ₹490 per 10 grams on Wednesday in line with global trends.
In early Asian trade on Thursday, Spot Gold rose by 0.40% to $2,945 an ounce.
In Delhi markets, 24K gold traded at ₹88,140 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹80,810 per 10 grams, up by ₹10 over the last close.

Silver prices rose for the second day on Thursday in line with the gains in the global markets on a weak dollar and safe-haven demand. Silver prices rose by ₹100 to ₹1,00,100 per kg in early trade. The white metal jumped ₹2,000 to hit ₹1,00,000 per kg in major Indian cities on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Spot Silver rose by 0.11% to $33.24 an ounce in early Asian trade.
