Vedanta dividend announcement: Mining major Vedanta Ltd on Monday said its board has approved the fourth interim dividend of ₹8.5 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25, amounting to approximately ₹3,324 crore.

"...the Board of Directors of Vedanta Limited..., at its meeting held today i.e. Monday, December 16, 2024, has considered and approved the Fourth Interim Dividend of ₹ 8.5/- per equity share on face value of ₹ 1/- per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25 amounting to c. ₹ 3,324 Crores," the company informed in a stock exchange filing.

The fourth interim dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on the company's register as on the record date of December 24, 2024, the company said.

The dividend will be disbursed within the statutory timelines, it added.

The announcement was made following the company’s board meeting held earlier in the day, which concluded at 4:30 pm.

Earlier, Vedanta declared a third interim dividend of ₹20 per share in September, amounting to ₹7,821 crore. Prior to that, the company approved a second interim dividend of ₹4 per share in July, totalling ₹1,564 crore, and a first interim dividend of ₹11 per share in May, aggregating ₹4,089 crore.

Vedanta Q2 FY25 Results

In its latest quarterly results, the Anil Agarwal-led conglomerate posted a consolidated net profit of ₹4,352 crore for the July-September period, reversing a loss of ₹1,783 crore in the same period last year. However, its consolidated income declined marginally to ₹38,934 crore from ₹39,585 crore.
