Shares of Astra Microwave Products jumped over 1% after the company announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Bharat Electronics. The shares traded 1.3% higher at ₹982 apiece on the NSE at 2:30 pm.

Astra Microwave Products has executed a Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) with Bharat Electronics (BEL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The MoU is to collaborate on the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules, subsystems and systems for defence electronics and aerospace, specifically targeting critical technology domains such as Electronic Warfare (EW), radar systems and satellites.

This strategic partnership aims to strengthen efforts towards fostering indigenous design and production capabilities in advanced technology domains critical to national defence.

Earlier, the company secured an order worth ₹124 crore (inclusive of all applicable taxes) from Astra Rafael Comsys (a Joint Venture company). The order is for the supply of Modules, Cable Assemblies and Antenna for SDR. The order is to be executed within 9-12 months.

In Q2FY26, the company secured orders worth ₹237 crore, spanning defence, space and export markets. While the total order book stood at ₹1,916 crore, out of which 70% orders came from the Defence and public sector, followed by 12% from Space, 11% from Meteorological, and 7% from exports.

Despite the weakness in the broader market, the stock performed extremely well and delivered over 25% returns in 2025 on a YTD basis.
