Union Budget 2024-25 date: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to create history in July by becoming the first finance minister of India to present seven consecutive union budgets. She will surpass the record held by Morarji Desai, who had presented six straight budgets.

President Droupadi Murmu, addressing the elected members of the 18th Lok Sabha on Thursday, said that the Union Budget 2024-25 will be "futuristic" and have "far-reaching policies".

"In the upcoming session, the government will introduce its first budget for this term. This budget will be an impressive document of the government's far-reaching policies and futuristic vision. In this budget, along with major economic and social decisions, many historical steps are also to be seen," the President said.
