The country's largest lender advised YONO users to use other fund transfer services, including Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), during the disruption.

"Currently we are facing intermittent issue in IMPS journey in YONO Application and it will be resumed by 9:30 Hrs on 26-10-2026," SBI said in a post on X.

The bank apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their cooperation.

Earlier in the day, SBI had reported intermittent disruptions to its services due to a technical issue, with operations initially expected to resume by 3.30 am.

"Due to a technical issue, Our services are intermittently impacted. These services are expected to resume by 03:30 hrs., 26.10.2026 (IST)," the bank said in an earlier post.

It advised customers to use ATM and UPI Lite services in the meantime.

SBI later updated its status, saying all services had become available at 2.55 am on Monday.

The latest disruption comes two days after the bank had announced a scheduled maintenance window during which its digital banking services, including UPI, IMPS, YONO, internet banking, NEFT and RTGS, were to remain unavailable for 45 minutes in the early hours of October 24.
SBI recently disclosed a suspected customer data exposure involving records found on the dark web.

In a regulatory filing on October 21, the bank said it had received communications on October 16 from its Threat Intelligence Service Provider, the Defence Cyber Agency and CERT-In regarding an alert about the suspected exposure of customer data.

A preliminary analysis of around 3.75 lakh records available on the dark web identified 3,897 customer records containing personally identifiable information (PII), the bank said.

The information reportedly included customers' names, registered mobile numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, residential addresses, branch and Customer Information File (CIF) identifiers, lead IDs and metadata associated with loan and lead records.

SBI said a detailed investigation was required to establish the authenticity and completeness of the exposed data, identify the potential source and extent of the exposure, and assess the risks to customers and the bank.

The lender had assured customers that their money remained safe, describing the incident as affecting a "very very small number of customers".

It also said the suspected incident had not materially affected its IT infrastructure, core business operations, financial performance or business continuity.

"Customer balances are completely safe and we are taking all possible steps to protect the interests of our valued customers," SBI had said in a post on X.
