Jio Frames is designed as a hands-free AI companion to integrate digital intelligence into daily life.

Reliance Jio Infocomm on Friday unveiled its latest consumer technology offering, Jio Frames, an artificial intelligence-powered wearable platform designed to integrate digital intelligence into daily life.

Announcing the product at the company’s 48th annual general meeting (AGM), Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, said the device would serve as a “hands-free AI-powered companion designed for the way India lives, works, and plays.”

The smart glasses will support multiple Indian languages at launch and feature Jio’s multilingual AI voice assistant. “With Jio Frames you can capture your world like never before. Take HD photos, record videos, or go live… every memory is instantly stored in Jio AI Cloud,” Ambani said.

The device will allow users to make calls, take meetings, listen to music or podcasts, and even get step-by-step instructions while cooking, through built-in open-ear speakers.

The company also said the frames can summarise books, explain concepts, and provide instant information about landmarks during travel.

“Intelligence will not just be in your pocket. It will be right in front of your eyes,” Akash Ambani told shareholders.

Earlier, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani called artificial intelligence one of the “three convergent technological transformations” alongside clean energy and genomics that would shape global growth. He described AI as the “Kamdhenu, the divine wish-fulfilling cow of our age,” adding that Reliance is embedding AI across businesses from telecom to retail, energy to entertainment.

India, Mukesh Ambani said, is “uniquely positioned to lead” in AI, clean energy and genomics, with Reliance reimagining itself as a deep-tech company.

The company, which enters its 10th year of Jio’s operations next week, recently crossed 500 million customers, cementing its position as the largest telecom operator in India. Reliance Industries reported a consolidated revenue of ₹10.71 lakh crore and a net profit of ₹81,309 crore in FY25.

While pricing and availability details of Jio Frames were not announced, the product marks Reliance’s latest attempt to create an India-first ecosystem of connected technologies riding on AI.
