Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY, approved in July 2025 with a budgetary outlay of ₹99,446 crore, aims to generate employment, enhance employability, and expand social security across sectors

The Ministry of Labour and Employment on Wednesday cautioned citizens against fraudulent websites falsely claiming to be linked to the government’s Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) and advised people not to share personal information or make payments through them.

“It has come to the notice of the Ministry that certain websites like https://viksitbharatrozgaryojana.org/ and https://pmviksitbharatrozgaryojana.com/ are falsely claiming to be undertakings of the Government of India and allegedly inviting applications for recruitment at pan-India locations under the name of the Ministry,” an official statement said.

The ministry clarified that it has no association with these portals and their activities.

The authentic PMVBRY portal, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address, was launched in August to facilitate registrations under the scheme.

Employers can access genuine information and complete the one-time registration process at https://pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in or https://pmvbry.labour.gov.in, the statement said.

The ministry urged all citizens, employers, and stakeholders to remain vigilant against fake portals and false recruitment claims.

The government had on July 1 approved the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme named PMVBRY to support employment generation, enhance employability.

The scheme is backed by a ₹99,446 crore budgetary outlay for FY 2025-26 to FY 2031-32.

The Scheme consists of two parts, with Part A focused on first timers and Part B focused on employers. Targeting first-time employees registered with EPFO, Part-A will offer one-month EPF wage up to ₹15,000 in two instalments. Employees with salaries up to ₹1 lakh will be eligible.

The first instalment will be payable after 6 months of service, and the 2nd instalment will be payable after 12 months of service and completion of a financial literacy programme by the employee.

Registrations under PMVBRY will remain open till July 31, 2027.

A Steering Committee with representatives from labour-intensive ministries and an Executive Committee have been constituted for close monitoring and effective implementation.
