The visit comes at a time when India and the EU are working towards finishing the legal scrubbing of their Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the next few days.

According to the commerce ministry, the delegation includes representatives of leading Indian companies from sectors such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technologies, gems and jewellery, food processing, healthcare and design.

On July 13, Goyal will hold meetings in Spain with senior ministers, including First Vice President and Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo Caballero, Industry and Tourism Minister Jordi Hereu Boher, and Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno.

He will also chair an India-Spain Business Roundtable and participate in interactions with the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, CEOE and ICEX Spain Trade & Investment to promote business partnerships in sectors such as automobiles, renewable energy, railways, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, food processing and tourism.

The ministry said the visit coincides with the Spain-India Dual Year 2026, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations.

In Belgium on July 14 and 15, Goyal will visit the Port of Antwerp and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre to study logistics, supply chains and the global diamond trade.

He is also scheduled to hold CEO-level meetings with executives of Thales Group and Silox Group and participate in the India-EU Business Roundtable and the plenary meeting of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC).

Goyal will co-chair the third India-EU TTC Ministerial Meeting in Brussels along with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada.

The minister is also expected to meet senior European Union leaders, including the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, Belgian Prime Minister and European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maroš Šefčovič.

On July 16 and 17, Goyal will hold talks in Finland with Economic Affairs Minister Sakari Puisto and participate in an India-Finland Business Roundtable.

An MoU between the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Business Finland will be signed during the visit to strengthen institutional collaboration.

The minister will also visit Finnish companies and research institutions, including Nokia, VTT Research Centre, KONE and Kemppi Group, to explore cooperation in telecom infrastructure, 6G, smart mobility, advanced manufacturing, industrial machinery and clean technologies.

The business delegation includes companies such as Borosil Renewables, Motherson Group, Trivitron Healthcare, Hari Krishna Exports and Nekkanti Seafoods.

The ministry said the visit is expected to give fresh momentum to India-EU economic ties by promoting trade and investment, strengthening cooperation in emerging technologies, clean energy, innovation and advanced manufacturing, while supporting efforts to conclude a balanced and mutually beneficial India-EU FTA.
