State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd on Monday said it has secured multiple work orders worth around ₹489.60 crore, including the construction of Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Chhattisgarh.
In a regulatory filing, NBCC announced that it will undertake the construction of Eklavya model residential schools in Bastar, Sukma, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon, and Jashpur, on behalf of the Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Welfare in Chhattisgarh. The project is valued at ₹459.60 crore.
The EMRS initiative, launched in 1997-98, aims to provide quality education to Scheduled Tribe (ST) children in remote areas, preparing them for higher education and professional courses.
The company will also build a permanent facility for Composite Regional Centre (CRC) in Jamdoli, Jaipur. The project, given by Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, is valued at ₹30 crore.
NBCC has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) to develop a ₹600-crore industrial project in Noida.
NBCC has been reporting robust financial performance this fiscal year. For the second quarter of FY25, the company posted a 53% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹125.13 crore, compared to ₹81.90 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income for the quarter rose to ₹2,525.95 crore from ₹2,134.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Shares of NBCC were trading 1.70% higher at ₹101.00 on the NSE on Monday, December 16.
