Missed Republic Day Parade tickets? You can still get passes for full dress rehearsal; Check details

The central government has announced passes for attending the Full Dress Rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade 2025. The Full Dress Rehearsal will be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 23, 2025. These passes are available on the Aamantran portal and mobile application, according to the Ministry of Defence.

The Republic Day parade on January 26 is watched by millions of Indians every year. Some lucky ones even get the chance to experience the celebration in person. This year, an unprecedented number of people bought tickets for the Republic Day Celebrations (RDC) 2025, prompting the government to issue passes for the Full Dress Rehearsal of the parade.

“Due to the unprecedented demand for tickets of Republic Day Celebrations (RDC) 2025, the Ministry of Defence is issuing the passes to witness the Full Dress Rehearsal of the parade, which will be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 23, 2025,” a government release said.

The tickets for the Republic Day Parade on January 26, the Full Dress Rehearsal for the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 28 and the Beating Retreat on January 29 were on sale from January 2 to January 11 on the online portal and ticket sale counters at various locations including Shastri Bhawan and Jantar Mantar.

How to buy Full Dress Rehearsal passes for Republic Day Celebrations?

Registration of these passes can be done by users through:

• Aamantran portal (aamantran.mod.gov.in)

• Aamantran mobile app which can be downloaded from the Mobile Seva App Store

When is the deadline?

These passes are available till January 17, 2025, until the quota gets exhausted. The registration started on January 13.

“This decision reflects the commitment towards ensuring the maximum participation of the people in RDC 2025,” the release stated.

What is the cost?

While the RDC celebration tickets were being sold for prices ₹20 and ₹100, the passes for the full dress rehearsal on January 23 are available for free. Those who are interested can register for free on the Aamantran portal.
