Powered by a new 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine and an efficient CNG option, the Dzire delivers impressive fuel economy.

Maruti Suzuki on Monday announced the prices of its 4th generation Dzire, rated 5-star by Global NCAP for adult safety. The base model starts at ₹6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) while the top model is priced at ₹10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The S-CNG version is priced from ₹8.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Dzire, which comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and pedestrian protection as standard, has four petrol variants, 3 CNG variants, and two auto gear shift variants.

The updated Dzire is powered by the Z-Series 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, available in both manual and Auto Gear Shift (AGS) options. For those inclined towards a cleaner fuel option, Maruti offers a factory-fitted CNG variant with 68 bhp and 102 Nm of torque, available in VXI and ZXI trims only.

The engine promises high efficiency, with fuel economy figures of 24.79 km/l for the manual petrol variant, 25.71 km/l with AGS, and an impressive 33.73 km/kg in the CNG version.

The car now features six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill-hold assist, and traction control across all variants, setting a new benchmark in the segment. Other standard safety measures include ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear defogger, seat belt reminders, and pedestrian protection technology.

On the exterior, the Dzire has received a notable facelift with a new grille featuring horizontal slats, LED headlamps, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. The vehicle also sports dual-tone alloy wheels and a shark-fin antenna, giving it a more contemporary and European-inspired look. The addition of triangular LED inserts at the rear further enhances its modern styling.

The 2024 Dzire brings in several first-in-segment interior features, including electric sunroof, complemented by a refreshed dual-tone dashboard with textured accents. The Dzire now includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, flat-bottom steering wheel, and rear AC vents. Higher trims also come equipped with a 360-degree camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, and a wireless phone charger.

Dimensionally, the new Dzire remains almost identical to its predecessor, with a length of 3,995 mm and a width of 1,735 mm. However, it gains an additional 10 mm in height, bringing it to 1,525 mm. The sedan sits on a wheelbase of 2,450 mm, with ground clearance maintained at 163 mm.

The automatic (AGS) option is not available on the entry-level LXI variant, while the CNG trims are limited to manual transmissions only.

Maruti has also introduced a subscription model, with plans starting from ₹18,248 per month.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the new Dzire in seven color options, including Gallant Red, Nutmeg Brown, Alluring Blue, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, Arctic White, and Splendid Silver.
