The achievement strengthens the company's 5-star Bharat NCAP portfolio alongside the all-new Dzire and VICTORIS.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Thursday said its premium strong-hybrid utility vehicle Invicto has secured a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP).

The achievement strengthens the company's 5-star Bharat NCAP portfolio alongside the all-new Dzire and VICTORIS, Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement.

“Safety has always been at the heart of Maruti Suzuki’s product philosophy… Bharat NCAP has ushered world-class testing protocols in India, empowering customers to make informed choices,” Maruti Suzuki India MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said.

He said the company now offers six airbags as standard in 15 models across 157 variants.

"Through initiatives like the NEXA Safety Shield and ARENA Safety Shield, we have standardised advanced safety features across our vehicle range, combining it with comfort and innovation for our valued customers," Takeuchi said.

According to the Bharat NCAP fact sheet, Invicto scored 30.43 out of 32 in adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 in child occupant protection, placing it among the safest vehicles tested in India so far.

The assessment covered frontal and side impact tests, where the Invicto secured 14.43 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and a full 16 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test.

The model tested was the Invicto Alpha+ 7-seater and Zeta+ 8-seater strong-hybrid MPV.

The vehicle comes with a comprehensive list of standard safety equipment such as electronic stability control (ESC), pedestrian protection systems, seat belt reminders, and curtain airbags, in addition to ISOFIX child-seat anchors and a robust body structure designed for enhanced crash performance.

The Invicto’s Bharat NCAP rating applies to the Zeta+ 7-seater, Zeta+ 8-seater and Alpha+ 7-seater strong-hybrid variants manufactured in India, the fact sheet noted.

Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched Victoris has achieved a five-star rating in both the Bharat NCAP and the Global NCAP safety tests.
