India’s state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) cut the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by 41 rupees on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, offering relief to businesses like hotels and restaurants that depend on the fuel.

In Delhi, the revised retail price of 19 kg commercial LPG now stands at ₹1,762, down from ₹1,803.

Domestic LPG prices, used for household cooking, remain unchanged in the latest revision.

On March 1, OMCs raised commercial LPG prices by ₹6 across major cities, taking the retail price in Delhi from ₹1,797 to ₹1,803. That hike came after a ₹7 cut in February.

Tuesday’s price drop provides some respite to businesses grappling with unpredictable fuel costs.

In March 2023, commercial LPG rates soared by ₹352, hitting the budgets of restaurants and other establishments hard.

Meanwhile, domestic LPG prices have held steady for months, shielding households from similar pressures.

As of April 1, prices for 19-kg commercial cylinders in key cities are: ₹1,762 in Delhi (down from ₹1,803), ₹1,872 in Kolkata (from ₹1,913), ₹1,714.50 in Mumbai (from ₹1,755.50), and ₹1,924.50 in Chennai (from ₹1,965.50).
