The company said it received the communication from the aviation regulator on September 26, 2025, alleging failure to use qualified simulators for pilot training.

IndiGo said it is in the process of contesting the DGCA order before the appropriate appellate authority.

The alleged violation pertains to the "failure to use qualified simulators for pilot training at Category C Aerodromes," the filing stated.

"The Company is in the process of contesting this Order before the appropriate appellate authority," it added.

The airline clarified that the penalty will not have any material impact on its financials or operations.

IndiGo also acknowledged a delay in disclosing the order to the exchanges, saying it was "unintentional and was caused due to a delay in internal communication of details pertaining to the order."

The DGCA, India’s aviation watchdog, has been tightening oversight of pilot training and simulator certification processes in recent months to ensure safety compliance across airlines.
