Nissan has reduced the price of its compact SUV Magnite by up to ₹1 lakh, effective from September 22.

Nissan Motor India has joined the growing list of automobile manufacturers that have decided to pass on the GST rate cut benefit to customers.

On Monday, the automaker announced a reduction in prices of its compact SUV Magnite by up to ₹1 lakh.

The revised prices will be effective on all deliveries from September 22, coinciding with the first day of Navratri, though bookings at new rates can be made with immediate effect, it said.

German luxury carmaker Audi also rolled out price cuts ranging from ₹2.6 lakh to over ₹7.8 lakh across models.

The entry SUV Q3 will now start at ₹43.07 lakh (down from ₹46.14 lakh), while the flagship SUV Q8 begins at ₹1.1 crore (down from ₹1.18 crore).

Other SUVs, including Q5 and Q7, as well as sedans A4 and A6, have also become cheaper.

Hyundai Motor India said it has reduced prices of its entire line-up by up to ₹2.4 lakh, with cuts ranging from ₹60,640 on the Verna to ₹2.4 lakh on the premium SUV Tucson.

"This reform is not only a boost to the automotive industry but also a strong step towards empowering millions of customers by making personal mobility more affordable and accessible," Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India, stated.

Tata Motors, meanwhile, announced it will pass on the full GST benefit across both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Passenger car price reductions include ₹75,000 on the Tiago, ₹80,000 on the Tigor, ₹1.10 lakh on the Altroz, and ₹1.55 lakh on the Nexon.

SUVs Harrier and Safari will see reductions of ₹1.4 lakh and ₹1.45 lakh, respectively. In the commercial vehicle segment, prices will drop by ₹30,000 to ₹4.65 lakh depending on the model.
