What is BharatPe One, the new all-in-one payment device of BharatPe? Check details

BharatPe, a key player in the fintech sector, on Tuesday, April 23, announced the launch of its all-in-one payment device ‘BharatPe One’. The device is aimed at offering ease to merchants and retailers who use different devices for point of sale (PoS), QR code-based payments and sound boxes to alert them on transactions.

BharatPe One will streamline payments operations by integrating all these features, the company said in a statement, adding that it will be launched in about 100 cities in the first phase.

BharatPe, which is competing with sectoral giants PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm in the merchant payments category, aims to roll out its all-in-one product in around 450 cities over the course of the next 6 months.

BharatPe One: Here are the key details

• The device integrates PoS, QR code, and speaker into one device.

• It will offer “enhanced performance”, said BharatPe, as the device is equipped with a “high-definition touchscreen display, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and powered by the latest Android operating system”.

• BharatPe One will cater to the needs of offline merchants as well, with its “user-friendly interface, portable design, and comprehensive transaction dashboards”.

• The device will streamline transactions for merchants as it offers versatile payment acceptance options including dynamic and static QR code, tap-and-pay and traditional card payment options, across a wide range of debit and credit cards, BharatPe said.

• "By combining multiple functionalities into one cost-effective device, we're providing a comprehensive solution tailored to the varied needs of small and medium businesses across diverse sectors,” BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi said.
