States that will honour the holiday on November 15 include Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Nagaland, New Delhi, Orissa, Rajasthan, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, according to reports.
Banks will be closed on November 17 as it is a Sunday. Banks will also be closed on November 18 in Karnataka for the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti.
No, banks will not be closed on November 16. All banks in India are closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. As November 16 is the 3rd Saturday of the month, banks will remain open on that day.

Yes, banks work on their digital platforms like websites and applications regardless of the bank holidays. UPI and mobile banking will be functional on these bank closure days.
Online banking services are turned off for several reasons which are notified to users in advance such as maintenance downtime. On bank holidays, these online services are functional unless customers are informed otherwise. Moreover, ATMs will also be functional on bank holidays and will be available for withdrawals.
