Rajasthan Budget 2024 Highlights: ₹27,000 crore for health sector, 4 lakh jobs & more

Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the state budget 2024-25 in the assembly on Wednesday, July 10. Kumari, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister, said the BJP-led state government will work on ten resolutions to make Rajasthan a $350 billion economy.

Rajasthan Budget 2024: Highlights

  • Kumari proposed ₹27,000 crore for the health sector
  • Rajasthan government to spend ₹15,000 crore to supply tap water to 25 lakh rural houses
  • Four lakh vacancies to be filled in five years
  • State government to frame policy for youths
  • The budget 2024-25 proposed electricity connection to two lakh households
  • ₹100 crore has been allocated for the corridor at Khatu Shyam temple and the establishment of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Board

  • ₹5,180 crore will be utilised to fund projects across 185 urban localities over the next two years
  • New road projects worth ₹60,000 crore will be initiated
  • Under the Sports Policy 2024, the government has announced a sports life insurance scheme of ₹25 lakh.
  • De-addiction centres will be established in ten districts
