DMRC has introduced a Multiple Journey QR Ticket system to enhance passenger convenience.

To make travel more convenient and comfortable for passengers, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched the 'Multiple Journey QR Ticket' (MJQRT) feature in its existing mobile application. This feature will eliminate the need for daily quick response (QR) tickets.

Delhi Metro passengers can view their journeys, including recharges and payments, on the app 'DMRC Momentum Delhi Sarthi 2.0'.

Similar to metro cards, passengers can recharge MJQRT with an upper limit of ₹3,000.

How to use Delhi Metro's Multiple Journey QR Ticket

To use the MJQRT, users need to register on the DMRC Momentum Delhi Sarthi 2.0 app and add an initial amount of ₹150. This amount can be used for metro travel.

"There is no security deposit required for the MJQRT. Users can easily add value in multiples of ₹50 through digital payment methods such as UPI, credit cards and debit cards with a maximum balance limit of Rs 3,000," said DMRC's Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communication) Anuj Dayal.

The minimum balance required to use MJQRT is ₹60. The new feature offers the passengers a 10% discount during peak hours from 8 am to 12 noon and 5 pm to 9 pm and a 20% discount during off-peak hours.

According to the DMRC, the Multiple Journey QR Ticket is an eco-friendly and economical alternative to smart cards currently in use.

The existing balance will remain intact in the event of theft, loss, or damage to the mobile, DMRC said.. Passengers can continue using the MJQRT by logging in on another device.
