Six NFOs opening this week: From low-volatility equities to gold and Balanced Advantage Funds

With six launches opening this week and more arriving next week, investors have plenty of options.

Investors have a busy week ahead, with six new fund offers (NFOs) scheduled to open between September 8 and September 11.

Among the week's launches are Axis Nifty500 Low Volatility 50 Index Fund, Kotak Multi Sector Omni FoF, Mirae Asset BSE Information Technology Index Fund, Altiva Equity Long-Short Fund, Shriram Gold ETF Passive FoF and JioBlackRock Balanced Advantage Fund.

NFOs opening this week

Kotak Multi Sector Omni FoF will open on September 8 and close on September 22. The fund will invest in equity-oriented sector funds, giving investors exposure to multiple sectors through a fund-of-funds structure.

Also opening on September 8 is the Mirae Asset BSE Information Technology Index Fund. The passive fund will track the BSE Information Technology Index and provide focused exposure to India's IT sector.

On September 9, Axis Nifty500 Low Volatility 50 Index Fund will open for subscription. The index fund will track the Nifty500 Low Volatility 50 Index, offering exposure to stocks from the Nifty 500 universe selected for their relatively lower volatility.

Altiva Equity Long-Short Fund, an Edelweiss SIF, will open on September 10 and close on September 24. The fund will follow a long-short equity strategy, making it a more specialised offering compared with conventional equity mutual funds. The minimum investment requirement is also significantly higher at ₹10 lakh.

Two more NFOs will open on September 11. Shriram Gold ETF Passive FoF will invest in Gold ETFs and offer investors an indirect route to gold exposure. The offer will remain open until September 24.

The JioBlackRock Balanced Advantage Fund will also open on September 11 and close on September 25. The fund will dynamically manage its equity and debt allocation, aiming to adapt its portfolio to changing market conditions.

NFOs opening next week

The NFO calendar remains active beyond this week. Invesco India Nifty India Defence Index Fund is scheduled to open on September 15 and close on September 29.

Investors can also watch for Invesco India Nifty Chemical Index Fund, which is scheduled to open on September 15.

With six launches opening this week and more arriving next week, investors have plenty of options but the right choice will ultimately depend on their investment horizon, risk appetite and existing asset allocation.
