Kotak and Sundaram Mutual Funds unveil new schemes across equity income and hybrid segments

Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund and Sundaram Mutual Fund have launched new open-ended schemes aimed at offering investors diversified income and long-term capital appreciation.

While Kotak Mahindra MF has introduced the Kotak Dividend Yield Fund focusing on dividend-yielding equities, Sundaram MF has rolled out the Income Plus Arbitrage Active FoF that invests in a mix of debt-oriented and arbitrage mutual fund schemes.

Both new fund offers open for subscription from January 5, 2025, catering to investors with varying risk and return preferences

Kotak Mahindra MF launches Dividend Yield Fund focused on income-generating equities

Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has launched Kotak Dividend Yield Fund, an open-ended equity scheme predominantly investing in dividend yielding stocks. The NFO opens for subscription on January 05, 2025 and closes on January 19, 2026. The Entry is not applicable for the scheme.

The Exit load: For redemption / switch out of upto 10% of the initial investment amount (limit) purchased or switched in within 1 year from the date of allotment: Nil, If units redeemed or switched out are in excess of the limit within 1 year from the date of allotment: 1% and If units are redeemed or switched out on or after 1 year from the date of allotment: Nil. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 100/- and any amount thereafter.

The performance of the scheme will be benchmarked against the Nifty 500 Index TRI (Total Return Index) and its fund managers are Shibani Sircar Kurian (Equity and Overseas investment) and Abhishek Bisen (Debt investment).

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation and/or dividend distribution by investing predominantly in a well-diversified portfolio of equity and equity related instruments of dividend yielding companies.

Sundaram MF introduces Income Plus Arbitrage Active FoF

Sundaram Mutual Fund has launched Sundaram Income Plus Arbitrage Active FoF, an open-ended fund of funds investing in units of debt oriented mutual fund schemes and arbitrage mutual fund schemes. The NFO opens for subscription on January 05, 2025 and closes on January 08, 2026. No entry and exit load will be charged under the scheme. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 5000 and multiples of Re 1 thereafter.

The performance of the scheme will be benchmarked to the 60% Nifty Short Duration Debt A-II Index + 40% Nifty 50 Arbitrage TRI and its fund managers are S. Bharath, Sandeep Agarwal and Kumaresh Ramakrishnan.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in units of debt oriented mutual fund schemes and arbitrage mutual fund schemes.
