If you face a similar "Debit Success, Cash Not Dispensed" error during a UPI-ATM transaction, SBI has outlined a specific protocol to ensure the funds are reversed.

Step-by-step complaint process:
  • Go to https://crh.sbi.bank.in/(SBI’s Complaint Management System).
  • Use your registered mobile number to sign in.

  • Select the "Raise Request/Complaint" option and choose the affected Account Number.

  • Select a financial transaction-related issue.

  • Choose the specific transaction from your history.

Specific Drop-down Selections
  • UPI (BHIM SBI PAY / GPAY / etc.)

  • UPI Merchant Transaction

  • Provide a brief description of the incident (Date, Time, ATM ID).

What happens next?

Once the complaint is registered, customers will receive a unique complaint number via SMS or email. Under RBI guidelines, banks are generally required to reverse failed ATM transactions within 5 working days.

If the bank fails to credit the money within this window, they are liable to pay a compensation of ₹100 per day to the customer.

Always keep a screenshot of the "Transaction Failed" screen or the SMS alert of the debit for your records when using QR-based cash withdrawals.
