PM Kisan 20th instalment: Expected date, eligibility, how to check beneficiary list and more

The 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be transferred to farmers in the first or second week of June 2025, as per media reports. There is no official confirmation by the government on this yet.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), under which the government of India provides financial assistance to farmers for agricultural and household needs, was launched in February 2019. Under the scheme, the government provides ₹6,000 annually to farmers in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 every four months.

Since the launch, the government has disbursed 19 instalments. The 19th, 18th and 17th instalments were disbursed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2025, October 2024 and June 2024, respectively.

Who is eligible for PM-KISAN?

To receive financial assistance under the PM-KISAN scheme, an individual must be a small or marginal farmer and a citizen of India, and must have their own cultivable land. A farmer must:

• Not be an income taxpayer
• Not receiving a pension above ₹10,000 a month
• Not be an institutional landholder

Farmers must also complete their e-KYC if they wish to receive the instalments under the scheme. Further, farmers should have a bank account linked to their Aadhaar and ensure land record verification to receive the transfer.

Saturation drive

The Ministry of Agriculture recently completed a pan-India saturation drive for PM-KISAN aimed at onboarding all eligible farmers and ensuring that they are complying with the verification steps. The saturation drive ended on May 31, 2025.
