IDFC Bank switches to Elite Assist from DreamFolks; how does this affect you?

IDFC Bank recently announced that its domestic airport lounge access program for debit cardholders, previously managed by DreamFolks, will now be managed by Elite Assist.

Effective September 15, IDFC First Bank switched from the Airport Service Provider DreamFolks to Travel Food Services Limited (TFSL)’s subsidiary Elite Assist as its lounge access partner.

What changes for IDFC Bank debit cardholders?

The number of complimentary lounge visits will remain the same under the new program with Elite Assist. Customers will enjoy the same number of complimentary accesses at over 45 domestic airport lounges.

To access domestic lounges at airports, cardholders can swipe their IDFC Bank debit card. The entry would be subject to successful authentication.

What is an airport lounge access card?

An airport lounge access card allows customers to enjoy free access to airport lounges through a priority pass membership. With the lounge access, members can enter airport lounges and access these benefits:

• Upscale ambience
• Spa services
• Rest areas
• Workspaces

“In the event of discontinuation of airport lounge services by the above-named suppliers, the Company may experience a material impact on its operations and financial performance. In response to these developments, the Company has strategically accelerated its focus on global lounge business while actively repositioning towards diversified and sustainable offerings, thereby ensuring long-term value creation for clients and stakeholders,” DreamFolks had said in a regulatory filing.
