You can get 3% discount on unreserved train ticket booking and platform tickets with new app

Now you can get 3% discount on all unreserved train ticket bookings and platform tickets, thanks to the new RailOne app launched by the Indian Railways.

To avail the discount, you should start booking unreserved and platform tickets with this newly launched app.

The RailOne app was launched by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday (July 01, 2025) in New Delhi on the occasion of the 40th Foundation Day of Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).

You can download the new RailOne app on the Android Play Store and iOS App Store.

What can you get from the app?

The app focuses on improving the passenger interface with railways.

According to the Ministry of Railways, the RailOne app offers the following features:

  • Unreserved & platform tickets with 3% discount

  • Live train tracking

  • Grievance redressal

  • E-catering, porter booking & last-mile taxi.

Can you book reserved tickets with the RailOne app?

No. Reserved tickets will continue to be offered on IRCTC. The RailOne app has been authorised by IRCTC, just like many other commercial apps that have partnered with IRCTC.

How to use this app.?

You can use this app by signing in. The RailOne app features a single sign-on with login via mPIN or biometric.

It also supports existing RailConnect & UTS credentials. The app will help save space by eliminating the need for install multiple railway-related apps.

Meanwhile, the Railway Ministry is set to soon launch an upgraded passenger reservation system (PRS) that will be capable of capable of 1.5 lakh ticket bookings and 40 lakh enquiries per minute. (Read more details here)
