Cash withdrawal charge

Canara Bank customers will now have to pay ₹23 plus GST for cash withdrawals beyond the free transaction limit. Earlier, the charge for such transactions was ₹20 plus GST.

For non-financial transactions beyond the free limit, the charge remains ₹5 plus GST per transaction.

Failed ATM transactions

The bank has also revised the charge for transactions that are declined because of insufficient funds in the customer's account.

For such transactions beyond the applicable free limit, the charge has been increased to ₹23 plus GST from ₹17 plus GST.

The revised charge applies to transactions at Canara Bank ATMs as well as other bank ATMs, according to the bank's updated service-charge schedule.

Other bank ATM charges

For Canara Bank debit cardholders using another bank's ATM or cash recycler, the free transaction limit depends on whether the ATM is located in a metro or non-metro centre.

Customers get three free transactions per calendar month at other-bank ATMs in metro locations and five in non-metro locations.

After the free limit is exhausted, a financial transaction, including cash withdrawal, will attract a charge of ₹23 plus GST. Non-financial transactions beyond the limit will cost ₹11 plus GST.

Green PIN regeneration charge cut

There is also a reduction in the charge for Green PIN regeneration beyond the applicable free transaction limit.

The fee has been cut to ₹5 plus GST from ₹23 plus GST earlier.
