Can you get a FASTag Annual Pass for someone else? Here’s how to gift it

The FASTag Annual Pass enables ease of commuting, offering an affordable, hassle-free way to travel on National Highways and National Expressways across India. It is a great tool for frequent travellers who cross many toll booths in a month, making the pass ideal for saving money.

Priced at ₹3,000, the pass is valid for a year or a maximum of 200 toll crossings, whichever comes earlier. This means that commuters pay around ₹15 for a toll crossing on average, down from ₹50 for long distances. By using the pass, commuters can save as much as ₹7,000 in a year.

The pass can be availed through the Rajmargyatra app or the official website of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and can be gifted as well. If you wish to buy the pass for someone else, you just need their vehicle number and contact details. Here is how you can do it:

• Fill in the vehicle number and contact details
• Complete OTP verification

More about the annual pass

The annual pass recently crossed twenty-five lakh users, with 5.67 crore transactions recorded just in the last two months since its launch in August.

“Enhancing ‘Ease of Commuting’, the FASTag Annual Pass has received an overwhelming response from the National Highway users and has crossed the landmark figure of twenty-five lakh users with around 5.67 crore transactions recorded in the last two months across the country,” the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways said in a release on Wednesday, October 15.

It can be used at 1,150 toll plazas across the country and is available for all non-commercial vehicles.

“The overwhelming response to the FASTag annual pass by the National Highway users underlines NHAI's commitment to provide a safe, smooth and seamless travel experience on National Highways across the country,” the release added.
