SBI locker charges 2026

SBI offers safe deposit lockers in various sizes and types across urban, metro, semi-urban, and rural branches. The sizes range from Size A (125 x 175 x 492 mm) up to Size L1 (385 x 529 x 492 mm), accommodating different storage needs.

Annual locker rent for urban and metro branches is ₹2,000+GST for small lockers, ₹4,000+GST for medium, ₹8,000+GST for large, and ₹12,000+GST for extra large lockers.

For rural and semi-urban branches, the charges are ₹1,500+GST, ₹3,000+GST, ₹6,000+GST, and ₹9,000+GST, respectively.

Salary package account holders enjoy concessions on locker rent: Platinum variant accounts get 25% off, while diamond variant accounts receive 15% off.

One-time charges apply for locker registration or breaking open a locker due to loss of key or non-payment: ₹500+GST for small/medium lockers and ₹1,000+GST for large/extra large lockers, along with actual expenditure for changing locks.

Locker visits are free for the first 12 visits per year; subsequent visits are charged ₹100+GST per visit. Locker rent overdue charges are applied quarterly at 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% of the annual rent if unpaid by the specified dates. Lockers overdue for more than one year may be broken open.

For safe deposit articles, SBI charges ₹300+GST per quarter for envelopes and ₹500+GST per quarter for large packets (max dimension 100 cm). Safe custody charges for scrips are ₹150+GST per scrip (minimum ₹300+GST per year or part thereof).
