The questionnaire covers salary hike, fitment factor, and allowances. For instance, on the salary hike issue, the 8th CPC is seeking inputs on issues such as:

  • How should the 8th CPC assess/evaluate relativity between pay & perquisites in Government and the public/private sector?

  • How should issues like security of tenure, training regimen, housing etc., be factored in while crafting a compensation matrix and relative positioning vis-a-vis the private sector?

On the fitment factor issue, the 8th CPC has asked for responses on " what do you think the "fitment factor" adopted by Pay Commissions should represent? What should such a fitment factor principally aim for?"

"Last date for submission of responses is Tuesday 31st March, 2026. All responses should be through the MyGov portal. Paper based physical response, emails or pdf response are not being considered by the Commission," the 8th CPC website says.

Through the questionnaire, the 8th Pay Commission is seeking views, opinions, and inputs from various stakeholders, including employees and pensioners, to be better informed.

Anonymous submission

If you plan to submit your inputs, you can do so in a structured manner through the questionnaire hosted on MyGov.in the portal.

The 8th CPC will not reveal the names of the respondents. Moreover, the responses to the questionnaire will be analysed on an aggregate non-attributable basis.
