Which SBI fixed deposit interest rates have changed for senior citizens and others from July 15?

SBI has revised its deposit interest rates many times in 2025 following the repo rate cut announcements by the Reserve Bank of India.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has once again decreased its fixed deposit rates for certain tenures for senior citizens and other depositors. This is the second time since June 2025 that the leading bank has reduced its FD rates.

The public sector bank has revised its deposit interest rates many times in 2025 following the repo rate cut announcements by the Reserve Bank of India. Going ahead, SBI may reduce the FD rates further as the RBI is expected to cut the repo rate again.

Which SBI FD rates have changed?

As per information on the bank's website, the fixed deposit interest rates for the following tenures have changed with effect from July 15, 2025.

46 days to 179 days: The bank has reduced the interest rate of this tenure to 5.4% for senior citizens and 4.9% for general citizens. The previous interest rates for this tenure were 5.55% for senior citizens and 5.05% for others.
180 days to 210 days: The bank has reduced the interest rate of this tenure to 6.15% for senior citizens and 5.65% for general citizens. The previous interest rates for this tenure were 6.3% for senior citizens and 5.8% for others.
211 days to less than 1 year: The bank has reduced the interest rate of this tenure to 6.4% for senior citizens and 5.9% for general citizens. The previous interest rates for this tenure were 6.55% for senior citizens and 6.05% for others.

Please note that SBI has not revised interest rates on FDs of other tenures with effect from July 15.

Also, the above interest rates will apply only on deposits of up to ₹3 crore.

Currently, the highest interest rate offered by SBI to senior citizens is 7.1% under Amrit Vrishti deposits of 444 days. General citizens can get 6.6% interest under this scheme.
