With the IPPB mobile banking app, customers can make deposits into certain eligible post office schemes like Public Provident Fund (PPF), Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY), and a recurring deposit (RD) account.

You generally cannot make direct payments to post office schemes using a UPI app like Paytm, PhonePe, or Google Pay. Instead, you can use UPI to fund your IPPB account.

You can use UPI from your existing bank account to instantly transfer money into your IPPB savings account. You then use the funds sitting in your IPPB account to make the investment into the above listed small saving schemes.

What are the prerequisites for using the IPPB app?

⦁ You must first open and have an active digital savings account with IPPB.

⦁ You must have an active PPF, SSY, or RD account with the Department of Posts (DoP).

⦁ You need the DoP Customer ID and the specific scheme account number to process the contribution.

How to transfer funds from your IPPB account to PP, SSY, or RD?

⦁ Click on the "DoP Products" section within the IPPB mobile app.

⦁ For Public Provident Fund, select "Public Provident Fund (PPF)".

⦁ For Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, select "Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA)".

⦁ For Recurring Deposit, select "Recurring Deposit (RD)".

⦁ Enter account details and amount.

⦁ Enter your DoP customer ID.

⦁ Enter the amount you wish to deposit.

⦁ Confirm the payment.

⦁ An OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with IPPB.

⦁ Enter the OTP to authorise the transaction.

⦁ You will receive a payment successful message on your screen upon successful payment.
