Silver Rate Today, July 16: Prices unchanged; check what you have to pay for 999 silver

Silver prices are steady for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday (July 16, 2026). According to GoodReturns.in, the precious white metal is priced at ₹2.35 lakh per kg.

As the demand from industrial users as well as jewellers remains subdued, silver prices in the retail market have not changed so far this week.

Factors influencing silver rate in India

Mirroring sharp weakness internationally, silver prices on the MCX traded lower in the afternoon session. At around 1:20 pm, silver September futures traded with a cut of 0.78% or ₹1,720 at ₹2,18,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, spot silver traded with a drag of 1.78% at $56.75 per ounce. US silver futures for September delivery were down by 0.65% at $57.06 per ounce.

In the previous session also silver witnessed heavy sell-off, dragging the metal to its lowest level in eight months. After the latest pullback silver is trading over 50% below its record high price scaled in January this year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The decline comes amid a broader pullback in bullion even as the dollar index retreated after fresh inflation data in the US.
