The US Central Command (CENTCOM) in a statement on Tuesday said that it has destroyed five Iranian crude oil carriers after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, targeted a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days.

The US warship evaded Iranian attacks, and no American personnel were harmed, it said.

"In response to Iran’s most recent failed attacks, CENTCOM destroyed the IRGC crude oil carriers M/T Kaviz, M/T Charminar, M/T Horizon 1, and M/T Riesco in the Gulf of Oman as well as M/T Derya near Kharg Island. American forces directed the crews to abandon ship before the vessels were struck and rendered inoperable," the CENTCOM added.

The US and Canada trade tensions also affected investor sentiments. The retaliatory tariff from Canada on US goods worth $20 billion will take effect on Tuesday.

Taking to Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said that Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier cannot sell in the US unless it is produced in the country.

"NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough! Over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — They live off American Buyers, American Companies, American Airports, and American Service — All while Canada blocks our GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the U.S.A. They even blocked Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada — Completely unjust and unfair! That Era is OVER! If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a piggybank.," he said.
