SUMMARY

Welspun Enterprises' subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers, secured a ₹79.29 crore contract from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation for the rehabilitation of a drainage line in Gujarat. On March 25, the company secured another contract from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Welspun Enterprises’ material subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers, has been awarded a contract by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) for the rehabilitation of the existing 1,800 mm diameter drainage line in West Zone, Vadodara, Gujarat. The contract is valued at ₹79.29 crore (excluding GST), and the project is scheduled for completion within 12 months, commencing from April 02, 2025 (excluding monsoons).

The outstanding order book of Welspun Michigan Engineers as of March 25, 2025, was ₹2,915.42 crore (excluding GST). With the addition of this project, the outstanding order book now stands at ₹2,994.71 crore (excluding GST).

This is the second order secured by the company in as many days. On March 25, Welspun Michigan Engineers, along with its joint venture partner Aaradhyaa & Co, secured contract worth ₹328.12 crore from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for upgrading the Haji Ali Storm Water Pumping Station. The company will hold a 75% stake in this joint venture.

Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited is a subsidiary of Welspun Enterprises Limited, which specialises in urban solutions with an emphasis on trenchless technologies such as microtunnelling & segment tunnelling, pipeline rehabilitation, pumping stations and other urban structures.

Following the announcement, Welspun Enterprises shares rose over 1% to an intraday high of ₹509.8 per share in morning trades on NSE. The company’s shares rose more than 21% so far this month amid the recent recovery in broader markets. Meanwhile, on a year-to-date basis, shares are still down 17.9%.
